PLEASE ALSO VISIT: The next morning we again drove to It becomes a soothing meditation to float upon the sparkling waves of the bay, my breaths deep and rhythmic and quite audible through my snorkel as the resting pod glides past me. Under me they move through the water in silent, merkaba-like formations. There is much sexual activity among the dolphins, as three groups of three take turns pleasuring each other amid gentle and languid fin-tip touches. Time slips away as the dolphins embrace me with their energy, gliding by me effortlessly only to return and repeat the pattern, leaving only peace and sweetness in the waters around me. After nearly two hours in the bay it is time to return to land, though I am still feeling quite at home in the water. As I near the lava ledge that leads to the black lava “beach”, I am approached by a very persistent Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle. She is mid-sized among the turtles in the bay, maybe 18 inches long, and seems to be beckoning to me. She stands out from all the turtles I have seen because she has very beautiful and clear rust colored markings on her back. The sun reflects off her patterns as she changes direction and energetically asks me to come with her. There is definite communication between us. She offers me a gift. I respectfully follow her at a distance off toward the shallows, as she glances back invitingly. I feel so much love passing between us in these moments! I know there is something that she wants to show me; that I am very privileged to be allowed to see. I look down into the water that is maybe 10 feet deep and I see that she has brought me to her family! There are several turtles resting on the sandy bottom within protective coral ledges and outcroppings. She seems to say goodbye to me before she slowly makes her way down to her brethren, and slips into her sandy bed for a rest that may be two hours underwater without another breath of air.
I am so grateful for this special and deep connection to another marvelous sea creature. Yet another initiation has occurred through our silent, respectful and loving communication. I am reminded of a local channeler in the Sedona area, Cynthia Williams, who had her life change the first time she looked into the eye of a dolphin. So much takes place in these moments of energy exchange, so much healing and opening occurs.
