Several times after receiving a healing session, I have also received beautiful gifts from the universe.  Once while I lay receiving an energetic healing in a friend’s sunroom, I noticed many colorful pieces of rainbows that I call sun dogs painted across the sky.  They were present throughout my session, and when I walked outside after the healing ended I cried tears of joy when I looked to the sky and saw a complete circular rainbow totally surrounding the sun.  It was an absolutely stunning "thank you" from Spirit.

I saw a circular rainbow around the sun one other time, right after a friend of mine stated that there was something important for us to see.  She and I had walked off while our guy friends changed a flat tire on one of the rough forest roads between Cottonwood and Sedona.  I quickly realized that the flat was no accident; for it changed the day's schedule enough to allow us the time to exchange the most phenomenal healing sessions with one another.  As she and I looked up at the large, perfectly round rainbow that circled the sun, her guides told her that great healing was to come from the sessions that the flat tire would allow us all to share.

That same vehicle assisted me in finding a cave of ancient initiation, whose rock walls were thickened and black from the fire ceremonies of many centuries.  A group of us had taken two SUVs back into the wilderness near Sedona in search of a fairly well-known cave.  We had no success finding the cave and after traveling at least 10 rough miles on 4x4 roads we came to an isolated trailhead that marked the road end.  For the first and only time ever, the truck stalled, flooded, and would not restart. All the guys circled the engine after the hood was raised, and I chuckled when I saw that their energy reminded me of a modern-day "Pow Wow".

I received guidance that we were to walk away from the vehicles, for there was something for us to find nearby.  I was strongly pulled off to the left and after a hike through the thick brush I was told to look behind me, and up, and there I saw a cave like opening on a sheer rock face with a huge boulder partially blocking its entrance.  The mysterious boulder was a much lighter color than any of the red rocks in the area.  A huge, howling, Wolf shaped rock sat as a sentinel above the cave entrance. 

We came back another day and experienced the energy of this cave of initiation, where I actually felt the fear that had been released within its walls. I felt death and rebirth all around me.  I felt the many Spirit Guides who had assisted the initiates.  The location of this cave is extremely isolated and not frequently visited, and few footprints mark the land surrounding it. I was nervous yet thrilled when I had my first encounter with rattlesnake energy within it.

Her trust in me was great as she crawled to a niche that allowed her to observe me without ever sounding her rattle.  I was definitely supposed to find this special cave that day, and I know that it was no accident that the truck failed to start.

A couple of the guys had walked off in the opposite direction when the truck stalled, and they were guided directly to the location of the cave that we initially came to find!  Upon the first turn of the key the truck instantly started, and we drove back to civilization joyfully knowing how much we had been assisted by Spirit that day. 

Flooded engines and flat tires hold a new meaning for me.  Events that in the past I would have perceived as no more than errant frustrations I can now see enter my life for really important reasons.  I try not to judge life events as difficult; rather I step back and ask to be shown their message.  Being tapped into the universe also has the added benefit of keeping the "cosmic 2 x 4" from banging me upside the head!
